SIDS and Safer Sleep Training
Outline
Part 1 looks at what Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is and reducing the chance of it occurring, along with key messages for keeping babies safe during sleep.
Part 2 continues explaining factors that increase a baby’s chance of SIDS, and what parents can do to avoid them.
Course Information
Two pre-recorded training presentations and videos to watch prior to the interactive Q&A sessions.
The 45-minute live online interactive session will follow (dates bookable below), which gives participants the opportunity to discuss the training material and to ask the trainer(s) practice related questions.
Audience
This course is specifically aimed at professionals and practitioners who are working closely with families in a role where giving safer sleep advice is part of their core role.

PLEASE NOTE: The WSCP are funding this training on behalf of practitioners in Wakefield. If you wish to cancel your place, you MUST give a weeks notice, or you will be charged the training fee of £18.70.

After the 3 year period we will ensure that your data/information is destroyed in accordance under the new GDPR act.

Courses are free for the statutory, voluntary and community sector in Wakefield, however failure to attend without giving prior notice may result in a charge to cover costs.
