NEW - WSCP SEND Campaign - Now Launched

LAUNCH DAY!

WSCP are pleased to officially announce the launch of the new SEND Toolkit

As of today, practitioners in the Wakefield district and beyond can access a section of the WSCP knowledge hub that is dedicated to helping children with Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) within the Wakefield District Wakefield SCP Knowledge Hub - Wakefield Safeguarding Knowledge Hub

We know that children with SEND can be more vulnerable to harm. With this in mind, WSCP and the SEND team have developed a toolkit with the latest in information, guidance, links to resources, and signposting to specific services to equip those who work or volunteer with children with SEND with an arsenal of tools, knowledge, and best practise guidance.

We want to ensure safeguarding every child is of the highest priority!

With specific advise on neurodiversity, complex care and non-verbal communication, this toolkit has easy to read sections, access to short videos, a whole list of one minute guides which can be found here and signposting to local and national services.

Thank you for those who have been waiting patiently for this toolkit to arrive! Please support this campaign by sharing this email within your networks, downloading resources, and adding our messages to your social media channels.

Further information regarding the campaign is contained within the briefing available here.
