Wakefield Safeguarding Children Partnership is pleased to promote The Children’s Society’s #LookCloser Programme of Learning, a regional learning offer designed to help professionals recognise, understand and respond to child exploitation.

Running from October 2026 to March 2027, the programme provides a range of learning opportunities to strengthen professional understanding of child exploitation, improve confidence in identifying concerns and support effective safeguarding responses.

The #LookCloser movement encourages all professionals and members of the public to look beyond presenting behaviours and recognise the signs that a child may be experiencing exploitation.

Professionals working with children, young people and families are encouraged to explore the programme and take advantage of the learning opportunities available.
