WSCP E-Bulletin - September Edition Now Available!
The September edition of the Wakefield Safeguarding Children Partnership (WSCP) e-bulletin is now available for you to download. This edition is packed full of useful information and key updates including:
- WSCP launch the Speak Up, Stand Up, Stop Exploitation! Communities and Local Businesses section - We are please to officially launch this new section if the Knowledge Hub, read the article and visit the page to find out more!
- NEW Learning Exchange Event: Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking - Find out more about this FREE learning event taking place on the 15th October, hear from our inspirational key speaker Karen Howell-Ball about her experience of abuse including being a victim of county lines.
- WSCP Annual Report 2023 -24 - Check out the WSCP Annual Report which summarises, reflects on and presents the work of WSCP from 1st April 2023 to 31st March2024. We've also included a link to our handy "annual report on a page", which provides an interactive summary of all the work undertaken.
- Are you a Sports Club in the Wakefield District? - If so why not join the Safeguarding in Sport Information Session taking place on the 9th October, designed to increase your knowledge and understanding of what safeguarding in sport means in this district.
- Urgent Safety Alert Issued for Water Beads - The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) has issued a safety alert to warns of the risks that water beads can pose to children and vulnerable adults. The e-bulletin articles provides the details of the alert and has links for further information including a poster highlighting the risks which has been published by the Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT)
