Safer Recruitment - Full Day
This course places an emphasis on ensuring that all possible steps are taken during the recruitment process to prevent people being appointed to roles in schools who could pose a safeguarding risk to children.
Whilst all stages of the recruitment process are covered this is not a detailed ‘recruitment and selection’ course but rather it addresses what measures should be put in place at each stage of the recruitment process to prevent inappropriate people being appointed. The final module also reviews the measures which can be taken in schools to maintain a safe culture given that the recruitment process itself cannot be totally fail safe.
Any staff or governors involved in the interview process in educational settings.
Delegates that have previously successfully completed the full day safer recruitment training can now attend the half day safer recruitment refresher training to maintain their accredited safer recruitment trained status.

We use your data to provide certificates once you have attended one of the sessions we provide, and to ensure that we have an appropriate sign in register with your name for fire safety purposes. After the 3 year period we will ensure that your data/information is destroyed in accordance under the new GDPR act.

Courses are free for the statutory, voluntary and community sector in Wakefield, however failure to attend without giving prior notice may result in a charge to cover costs.
