Education Specific Safer Working Practice Training
This is designed to cover the specific SWP guidance for education staff, drawing on typical examples that have happened locally here in Wakefield.
Designed for whole staff viewing, not individual.
Governors are welcome to attend any operational basic training for their interest, but they will need the separate strategic level governor safeguarding training (face to face) – see Traded Services website for individuals or contact firstname.lastname@example.org for whole governor body training (every 2 years).
It is recommended you request this early in the academic year to have use of throughout the year, i.e. show to whole staff group and use with any new members of staff who may join later. The training s to be delivered every 2 years with headteachers reminding staff of code of conduct expectations etc in the year in between.
‘Safer Working Practice – Training for Education Staff’ will be delivered by the WSCP. Both this training and ‘Basic Safeguarding Training for Everyone – Education Refresher’ link very well together and ALL school/college staff are recommended to complete every 2 years.
Two separate courses, two separate certificates for your school. Sign in sheets are compared to full school/college staff lists.
