The aims are to improve your understanding and ability to recognise:

  • Features and risks of Perinatal Mental Illness including anxiety, depression and psychosis;
  • The impact of mental health on mother, baby, family and society (new evidence);
  • Actions that need to be taken to ensure the woman and child receive timely and appropriate care;
  • Assessment and management of psychiatric emergencies in the perinatal period;
  • How Multi-Agency working will benefit families.
