Tuesday 12th January 9:30am – 11:30am – Online training facilitated by care experienced young people

This training aims to help people working with children and young people:

  • Build better relationships with children and young people
  • Recognise barriers to listening
  • Understand how circumstance can influence behaviours
  • Gain confidence to challenge stereotypes about children in care

Care experienced young trainers, provide activities, which challenge perceptions about children in care.

During the session our trainers, share personal experience of the things that can make a difference to a child’s experience of professional support

The session has  been developed and is lead by young people who have experience of being in care, they deliver the training to ensure that the experiences are real and shared in their own words

The session does not shy away from the life long impact of professional decisions.

We cannot understate the experience of children in care, this is an opportunity for you to find out more.
