Future In Mind
NHS Wakefield’s Future in Mind Programme
In October 2015 Wakefield Clinical Commissioning Group secured five years funding to transform emotional wellbeing services for children and young people in Wakefield and develop an early intervention model of care.
Huge progress has been made to date, including; new community mental health teams, online counselling and a face to face counselling service provided by Kooth. Seven Community Navigator’s have recently been introduced and they are working with children and young people across the seven localities of Wakefield. Work is also being done with schools in Wakefield to ensure that young people get the support that they need at the earliest opportunity.
